The latest poster of ‘Rajjo’ which got released of late has lead Kangana Ranaut along with the young hero, newcomer Paras Arora.

A women centric drama, ‘Rajjo’ is a love story set against the backdrop of the decaying Kothas of Mumbai. The film, where Kangana plays the title role, presents a journey from a Mujra girl to a house wife.

It’s a story of a nautch girl Rajjo but her pastoral upbringing has moulded her into an altogether a different person quite unlike a Tawaif. She falls in love with 18 years old Brahaman boy Chandu (Paras). For Chandu, it is love at first sight. Chandu belongs to a family of Music lovers and Music is the common thread, as is the strong attraction that draws Rajjo and Chandu together and seals their love.

Begum (Mahesh Manjrekar), who is eunuch, runs the Kotha. He is a strict person but when he came to know about Rajjo's love, he gets them married.

Handa Bhau (Prakash Raj) is a corporate with powerful political connections, who wants Rajjo at any cost. He tries to break the relationship in all the possible ways.

Vishwas Patil, a well-known writer and winner of prestigious Sahitya Akademi National Award is turning into direction a very first time. Uttam Singh is also coming back with his magical music after ‘Gadar - Ek Prem Katha’ and ‘Dil Toh Pagal Hai’ while legendary cinematographer Binod pradhan is a cinematographer in this film.
