In her earlier film ‘Kahaani’ that turned out to be a huge success, Vidya Balan emerged as one of the powerful actresses. The movie also had her nearly touching the character of a detective. And now yet again, Vidya will play a similar role in full-length in Dia Mirza’s forthcoming production, titled ‘Bobby Jasoos’.

After her debut production ‘Love Breakup Zindagi’, Dia Mirza along with her associate Sahil Sangha are coming up next with ‘Bobby Jasoos’ for which Vidya has been roped in to play the lead. According to sources, both the producers felt that Vidya was an obvious choice. And besides, the film’s lead character has several layers, which seems to be in perfect sync with Vidya’s personality. They strongly believe that Vidya’s presence will make the film even more interesting for the audience.

On the other hand, Vidya said to have been quite hooked on to the script right after she heard. The script is written by Sanyuktha Chawla and will be directed by Samar Shaikh.

"The idea of playing a female detective was irresistible. Also, the movie title intrigued me," stated Vidya in an interview and further revealed that she shares good rapport with Dia and Sahil - also the reason for which she said yes for the film.

‘Bobby Jasoos’ is expected to go on floors by mid November.
