Having woken the nation up to a taboo subject with Vicky Donor, actor-producer John Abraham, with his latest venture Madras Cafe looks to waken the youth up to the political scenario and enlightening them with a thriller that promises not just to entertain but inspire the youth of the country.
Stated John, "Madras Cafe has no bearing or inclination on any party, religion or group, be it a political party or rebel outfit. Weve made a fair and honest film. Besides weve got certification from the censors. So if there was something objectionable, it would have come up by now. Its a real film in the political thriller space. Theres a lot of inspiration from the history of India. And every youngster in the country should know what happened in the late 80s and early 90s."
Presented by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and JA Entertainment and produced by Rising Sun Films and JA Entertainment, Madras Cafe, directed by Shoojit Sircar is scheduled to release 23rd August 2013.
