Leading actress and social activist Kunika has started a consumer forum along with TV actor Anjan Shrivastava. Their latest battle happens to be the violent activities surrounding the controversial film "Girlfriend".

"I met up with both Raj Thackeray and Sanjay Nirupam (of the Shiv Sena) and questioned them regarding their party's violent protest against the movie," Kunika told IANS.

"I think it is extremely unreasonable. Do they realize that thousands of people are affected if a movie is not released. I think what we need is peace and not such violence."

She even called up the director of the film, Karan Razdan, and told him that her consumer forum would give complete support. But Razdan does not seem to be in need of any such help and said he was fine with the protest.
