There was a good interest generated in 'Bajatey Raho' the moment it was announced with the team of Tusshar, Vinay Pathak, Ranvir Shorey and of course, Dolly Ahluwalia coming together for Shashant A Shah's 'Bajatey Raho'. After all, Vinay and Shashant have been a team in 'Dasvidaniyan' and 'Chalo Dilli', Ranvir is returning to a setting which is in 'Khosla Ka Ghosla' mode, Tusshar's comic timing has paid dividends on multiple instances, Dolly has been on a high since 'Vicky Donor' while producer Krishika Lulla (Eros) is known to be quite selective about the films that she backs, 'Raanjhanaa' being a prime example of that.
However, with the promo of 'Bajatey Raho' being out, there have been quite a few pleasant surprises thrown. Now just is the film justifying its tag of being a revenge comedy, it is also benefiting from a realistic set up of 'saddi Dilli', which is adding to the spice. No wonder, many in the industry have stood up and acknowledged the work the theatrical promo which has just been unveiled.
Anil Kapoor, a veteran of over 100 odd films who is known for being quite critical of what is churned out in Bollywood, is the first one to make a declaration, "It will be a super hit for sure."
While this could well be a reason good enough for those associated with 'Bajatey Raho' to smile, including baddie Ravi Kissen and 'Fukrey' girl Vishakha Singh who would be stepping in as a female lead here, further nod of appreciation has come from Bipasha Basu who is currently shooting in 'Ooty' for 'Creature'. On chancing upon the promo, she was quick to comment, "This looks great, it is simply hilarious".
Ekta Kapoor tweeted Bajate Raho!!! Fabola!
Sanjay Gupta and Sonu Sood, with whom Tusshar recently worked in 'Shootout at Wadala', were quick in their appreciation as well and posted the
same on social networking sites. On the other hand Annu Malik was at his musical best as he said, "Trailer dekho! Bajatey Raho look awesome!" Meanwhile Amrita Arora, with whom Tusshar has worked earlier, found the promo as 'rocking'. Sophie Choudry (Actress/singer): It's Fab Tussh! Can't wait to see the film!! Super cast!, and writer Milap Zaveri twitted super fun! Congrats @TusshKapoor ure lookin rockinggg! :)
The kind of goodwill that the film and those in it has managed to generate amongst the industry could be seen from the fact that Aditi Rao Hydari termed the promo as 'brilliant' while Ayushmann Khurranna, whose camaraderie with Dolly Ahluwalia in 'Vicky Donor' was superb, summed it up by simply saying - "Tenu main love karda".
