'Mayadhari Malligadu', starring Sudheer Babu in the lead has been launched at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad. Hanuman is being introduced as the director with this movie.

Revan Kumar will produce this movie in Great Andhra Entertainment banner. Super Star Krishna gave the clap, Manchu Lakshmi Prasanna switched on the camera and K. Raghavendra Rao directed the first shot.

Director Hanuman says, " I have been in the film industry for 10 years and this is my first film as a director. This film has got no relation with Krishna sir's 'Mayadhari Malligadu'. But we have used that title as it is very apt for the story. I thank Sudheer Babu and the producer for giving me this chance".

Sudheer Babu says, " I have signed this movie, even before the release of 'Prema Katha Chitram'. I okayed the project, as I loved the story narrated by Hanuman. My character name is Mallikarjun in this movie and so we have titled it as 'Mayadhari Malligadu', as it best suites the story. When I discussed about this story with my uncle Krishna, he said that his film 'Mayadhari Malligadu' had become a big hit, mainly because of his get up and advised me to take care of my looks. I will follow his words and I will look very stylish in this film. The producer is a good friend of mine and so I should be responsible regarding acting".
