Perhaps the never-ending showers in Varsham were symbolic of heroine Trisha's fortunes in Tollywood.
Yes it is raining films in Trisha's garden.
And slowly but surely the spindly-framed actress is the most sought after actress in Telugu. She is currently doing Nuvvostanante Ne Vaddantana (directed by Prabhu Deva and produced by M S Raju). It will be followed by another movie with Mahesh Babu (direction-Trivikram).
Then a flick with NTR Jr is on the cards, and then a real blockbuster perhaps with Chiranjeevi. If this film fails to come through, then it may be with Allu Arjun.
Elsewhere, in the neighboring Tamil Nadu where she hails from, Trisha's last release Ghilli (a remake of Okkadu) is a confirmed hit. Her career there is also zooming.
So what makes this unpretentious and conventional-looking young girl so successful?
Analysts say that Trisha is vivacious and comes across as spontaneous. She is no ravishing beauty (like say a Sonali Bhendre or Aishwarya Rai). But she is attractive in an earthy sort of way (as one director said her beauty is comfortable).
Not surprisingly Trisha has upped her fee. Knowing that she is the in-demand actress, her salary is slated to be in the region of half crore rupees.
Make hay when the sun shines, did they say?
Well, Trisha is making hay when it is raining (films) in her garden.
