Chakri is the point man for Varma in Hyderabad. For his latest Telugu movie, Madhyahnam Hatya, which is complete and is in the post-production stage now, Chakri is handling the show at Hyderabad. So impressed is Varma with Chakri that he has allowed him to direct two films under his own banner.

The mentor-protg relationship of course continues in the Hindi film Vasthu Shastra. Produced by Varma and directed by Saurabh Narang, the film features Chakri in the lead opposite the sizzling Sushmita Sen.

Perhaps Varma and Chakri were Drona and Arjun in their previous births.
