Not too long ago, Kollywood witnessed one the choicest combination of rib ticklers, in the movie 'Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaya', with the comedy riot by Santhanam and Powerstar Srinivasan. But the recent controversies and claims of money fraudulence has put Powerstar behind the Puzhal bars. Apparently, Powerstar had been looking forward to Santhanam coming over to meet him in the jail.

However, Santhanam is maintaining his clear distance from Srinivasan. In a recent interview, Santhanam expressed that Powerstar's taking the limelight in 'Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaya' was intentional. "It was decided that Sethu will be the hero in the film. He being a new face in the industry, we could not create more impact than what was created, with his role. And since it was a movie I produced, it is not fair to exaggerate my role too. Hence, we already knew that Powerstar will be hogging the limelight, but we let it be that way. It was not a deliberate move of partiality to give his individual career a boost. The movie was a holistic growth for all three of us. However, had we wished, we could have brought down the importance of Srinivasan's role, but we did not do that" says Santhanam.
