Aurangzeb is at the blink of release and the film is in currency big time. From the time the first theatrical went online and created a huge buzz, everyone has been speculating the film being remake of Trishul (1978).
When Atul Sabharwal the debutante director was confronted on this piece of news he dismissed the rumours and said, "If anything its similar in treatment to Deewar. Aurangzeb is an ode to Saleem saheb and Javed saheb writings. Its tribute to their cinema."
Aurangzeb very interestingly set in land mafia or the upsurge of Gurgoan from a small village on map to India's one of the biggest and fastest growing city.
Atul Sabharwal has depicted Gurgoan against the backdrop of two families who are at logger heads with each other. And just like Saleem Javed work, Aurangzeb has a heady mix of dialogues and action.
Aurangzeb is based on a construction company in Delhi and has two families depicted - one of a Policemans and another of the Gangsters. The film is about how law has to become a criminal to suppress another criminal.
