One of the most anticipated love stories of this year, Lootera has been talk of the town for the way director Vikramaditya Motwane has presented the films characters in subtle manner. Setting the clock backwards, the films trailers have presented a classic 50s style of romance that brews between lead cast - Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha.
Revealing a fine detail about the film, a source close to the film shared that colours play a very important role in the story. For, Sonakshi's character is a Zamindar's daughter who has been to Shantinketan, knows to paint, write and enjoy finer tastes of life. In fact, her character is expected to teach Ranveer how to paint. Actually painting gets them close and Motwane has beautifully captured their romance in the song "Sawar Loon" where she teaches him to paint.
As a matter of fact, Sona personally is a good painter and has learned painting during her SNDT college days. Interestingly, she just took a refresh course before she started shooting the film. Thats because, Motwane wanted her to look authentic while holding the brush, pallet, making strokes on the canvas and even draw. Moreover the director was keen that he captures her body language correctly.
Said Motwane, "Sonakshi plays a character who loves painting, in the film, and there are quite few scenes of her enacting that. She being a trained painter was a great help, as she understands the body language, posture etc much better than someone who hasn't learnt painting professionally."
Bannered under Balaji and Phantom Productions, Lootera releases worldwide on 5th July.
