The musical maestro has been answering questions and doubts of the audience and fans, in Tamil. When one such fan asked him why his musical presence has not been felt in Rajinikanth and Kamal Hassan films, after 'Valli' and 'Virumandi' respectively, Ilayaraja instantly snapped, saying that they do not have an agreement on working together in all films. The musical genius added "The actors may have felt that my music will not suit their films. The truth remains that nobody, including even my own self, can judge my style of music." He added that no one shall underestimate his distinguished style and genre of music. He concluded "It is upto Rajini or Kamal to decide whether or not to have my music in their films. If they decide on the contrary, it is their loss; my music will last forever."
