When she did ‘The Dirty Picture’ people simply went "Ooh La La", but now when they will see her in Rajkumar Gupta’s latest directorial ‘Ghanchakkar’, all they will be stunned and say "Oh Aila!"

In ‘Ghanchakkar’, Vidya plays Nitu Bhatia, a boisterous Punjabi woman and what makes her different from other filmy wives is her out-of-the-box and colourful dressing.

While Vidya made a bold style statement in ‘The Dirty Picture’, with ‘Ghanchakkar’ the actress is going to make fashionistas swoon in shock...! In fact her designer Subarna Rai Chaudhari went hell crazy while choosing costumes for Vidya’s reel character. Talking about her character, Vidya said in an interview that she had great fun playing Nitu Bhatia and shared more details saying, "She's the hatti-katti Punjabi housewife, who we all know, somehow! She is the cats' whiskers, when it comes to fashion."

Added further, "She's the sort of woman who goes for a walk one day and feels if you've exercised, there's no harm eating one 'samosa'. Subarna Rai Chaudhari went mad trying to put together the look. What she wears is almost outlandish and even bizarre sometimes... but that's for you!"

The first look of ‘Ghanchakkar’ that came out recently has grabbed much attention. With powerful actors like Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan coming together for second time after ‘The Dirty Picture’ looks all the more promising and has generated enough hype for the film well ahead its release, on 21st June 2013. Emraan and Vidya play husband and wife who together are alleged to con people for living.
