Having a legend like K.Balachander launching him in industry, its no doubt Uday Kiran came out in flying colours with his debut movie Poi. Now the youngster is looking forward to his next outing on big screen
In contrast to his first movie that was a light-hearted drama, Uday Kirans second film is an out and out action entertainer. To be launched today (22nd March), the yet to be titled film will be directed by Sudhakar. Touted as a mega-budget venture the film will be produced on by Munna, under the banner of Flying Colours.
While he is excitedly looking forward to his new project, Uday Kiran is very much in gratitude towards Balachandar sir (as he fondly calls) for giving him a chance in films. I am proud to say that I was launched in Tamil through Poi by Balachander sir, who was the one who launched the legends like Rajni sir, Kamal sir and Prakash Raj sir, remarked the actor who is aspiring to be like the iconic stars.
Talking further about it and new film, he said, It was rather unfortunate for things not falling in place until now for me to become like Rajini sir or Kamal sir. But this script has given me immense confidence and moral booster that I can actually become like them. I say this out of humble confidence I have on this script.
Music will be handle by Vinoth Kumar while the cinematography is going to be by Sathish Muthyala. The hunt is currently going on for the heroine.
For getting into the new character, Uday revealed that he had to work very hard to shed away his chocolate boy image so as to get a tough look for this racy, action entertainer.
I am confident of my success and I would love to dedicate the same to Director Balachandar sir, signed off Uday.
