With various speculations doing the round from Shuddhi’s story being a Meluha adaptation to Hrithik playing Shiva in the movie, Producer Karan Johar comes forward to clear the air. Karan opened up about the two big projects lined for Dharma and pointed out how the two are separate projects.

He says that Director Karan Malhotra and his wife Ekta have been working on the script of Shuddhi for a year now. Shuddhi is nowhere connected to The Immortals Of Meluha at all.

It will be a completely different film, a love story. The film will go on floors in November this year. However, Meluha is a different project altogether. Meluha is currently in the process of being adapted and everything related to it will be structured once the screenplay is ready. As of now, it’s in the writing stage.

Karan adds that Meluha is one of the most celebrated novels in recent times. Amish Tripathi’s vision and the world of Meluha are extraordinary. He is proud that Dharma is associated with both these films.

On the other hand Shuddhi making the noise comes as no surprise as it brings together the same team that worked on Agneepath - Karan (Malhotra), Hrithik Roshan and Dharma Productions however the leading lady has not been finalized yet. Now, one can only wait to watch who Hrithik romances in the movie...
