Arya who was supposed to do a role in 'Mumbai Police', a malayalam film recently opted out from it. Prithviraj who is to do the lead role in the film was said to be angered by Arya's decision. When asked about Arya regarding this, he said that doing small roles would ruin his film career.

He said, "If I do such roles, they would approach me for similar roles in Tamil. This would ruin my career".Arya who initially assented to do the role a year back recently turned down the offer stating his image as a problem. He further says that he is the of the type who sees Friendship and Profession in different tracks.

He said that he would always love to have friendship with Prithviraj but wouldn't let down his profession. Sources say that Jayasuriya has been signed up for this role replacing Arya as the latter has returned the advance too.
