While Reema Kagti’s recent release ‘Talaash’ had a suspense-filled thrilling concept, the main crux of the film spread out once the first set of audience watched it. And the film sadly lost its charm, thanks to the new-age chain of social networking sites.

To combat the repercussions of leaks of thrill and suspense-laden films, producers are getting increasingly strict and alert. The proliferation of social media where such news travels at alarming pace is a huge concern.

Balaji Motion Pictures, co-producing the keenly awaited thriller ‘Ek Thi Daayan’ with Vishal Bhardwaj, has bound its actors and key technicians and heads of departments, by strong confidentiality clauses in their agreements. They are forbidden from sharing or divulging any information to do with the film's twists and turns, and particularly its climax.

Any crew member found guilty would be sued for damages, confirmed the film’s official spokesperson.

‘Ek Thi Daayan’, starring Emraan Hashmi in the lead, releases worldwide on April 18, 2013.
