It had been really a wonderful year for B-town. So much excitement, surprises, hits, flops, disappointments.... Truly it had been a rollercoaster ride... And most important was that our three super Khans turned out at their best in keeping us entertained.
2012 saw the movies of macho star Salman Khan, Badshah Shah Rukh Khan and Mr.Perfectionist Aamir Khan releasing consequently and hitting the success target as well. All these B-towns favourite Khans topped the box office this year with their respective films. Although last year each of them had their films released, they then had not garnered as much impression like this year.
Not only that; these Khans had an invisible thread binding each of them, courtesy their screen characters. While Salman played a RAW agent, Shah Rukh had been Army Captain and Aamir was a police inspector. Then, their movies were intended to be festival treat - 'Ek Tha Tiger' for Eid, 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' for Diwali, 'Talaash' although missed out the Christmas eve, managed to be part of welcoming the festival spirit along with 'Dabangg 2'.
But then, one cannot ignore the other stylish Khan as well.... Chote Nawab Saif Ali Khan also managed to garner good impression, giving two releases this year....
Salman Khan - It had been Salman, Sallu Bhai and Sallu miyaan all the way. In fact it can be said that 2012 had been a remarkable treat for Salman Khan fans; with two of his film " Ek Tha Tiger & Dabangg 2 - being released. While roared at the box office with its action masala, other one is keenly waited upon to hit the screens. "Mashallah, Mashallah" it had been zabardast year for this Being Human superstar and guess he might even celebrate and welcome the New Year by singing "Hudd Hudd Dabangg Dabangg.....
Shah Rukh Khan - From the time of its inception till its release, Jab Tak Hai Jaan made n-numerous news articles. The film not only brought back Shah Rukh Khan to his typical King of Romance avatar, but it had been also the last film of King of Romance director Yash Chopra - which added to the sentimental value of the film. The King Khan bagged mixed reviews for choosing this film. While some applauded him for being a la Swadesh character, others despised him for breaking his own No Kissing clause and going ahead to smooch Katrina Kaif, which many found it uncomfortable. Yet, this Badshah didnt fail to win hearts with this one and proved that he will remain King Of Romance Jab Tak Hai Jaan.
Aamir Khan - It was just mind-blowing for many after watching Talaash. Many didnt understand how to react. While expectations were running high over this Reema Kagtis thriller, the climax just left many asking for more. No one had expected Mr.Perfectionist to act in such a suspense film peppered with supernatural elements. Aamir excited everyone by donning the tried-and-tested-hit-cop avatar...
Saif Ali Khan - While Agent Vinod had built enough anticipation it didnt create as much impression at the box office. But Saifs another release Cocktail surprisingly bagged positive response from both critics and audience.
