Agreed his films ‘Gangs Of Wasseypur’ and ‘Talaash’ have rung the box office successfully, but that doesn’t mean the talented Nawazuddin Siddiqui has earned himself an account in the world’s most prestigious bank....

We are talking about the new project which Nawazuddin has signed, in which he plays the popular Indian businessman Hassan Ali Khan, the money laundering tycoon who is known to have stashed away billions in Swiss accounts. Titled ‘Black Currency’, the film will be helmed by Sanjay Sharma.

Going by the reel, rustic characters that he played earlier, Nawazuddin in this new project gets to play a rich, sophisticated character who is dressed in exclusive and expensive attire as well as boasts of owning private jet and choppers and enjoying the company of glamorous ladies.

Coming from a very humble background and a family which has been living from hand-to-mouth, Nawazuddin feels being on cloud nine to play such a luxurious role in this film.

Talking in an interview, Nawazuddin stated that ‘Black Currency’ is very special to him as the character which he plays in it is on the lines of that played by Amitabh Bachchan in ‘Trishul’. And being an ardent fan of Big B, Nawazuddin considers the megastar’s Trishul character a dream role.
