A huge number of theatres in Tamil Nadu are ensuring that their screens are 3D-enabled, since the countdown has started for the release of the 3D version of Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Sivaji'.

According to M S Guhan of AVM Productions, there were 65 3D screens in Tamil Nadu and 50 more screens are being converted into 3D.

"We will ensure that Sivaji 3D will release in as many screens as possible," he says. Remember it was 'Sivaji' which set a new trend in Kollywood in 2007, by releasing simultaneously in a record number of theatres.

Now the 3D version will hit the screens on December 12, the birthday of the Superstar. Directed by Shankar, the film which has Shriya Saran as the heroine has music by A R Rahman.
