"When Aamir believes in 'Talaash', it is indeed something" - Rani

One can find Rani Mukerji in an animated conversation as she talks about 'Talaash' and her coming together with Aamir Khan once again after 'Ghulam' and 'Mangal Pandey'.
Though this is the first time that she is playing his wife on screen, visuals that have been released so far of the film pretty much indicate that the two of them aren't quite finding itself in a romantic outing and are instead trapped in a world of pathos.
What is also striking is the fact that despite the film boasting of huge stars like Aamir, Rani and Kareena, the USP is being tagged to the story which written on paper than actors who are facing the camera.
"Absolutely and that's a very good point being brought up", Rani says in her characteristic perky manner, "This is what I am telling everyone that when Aamir says yes to a film, it means something.
It pretty much reiterates the fact that even today a good story has a value attached to it. At times we don't think that such films could feature mainstream actors. However when Aamir signs it, you are assured that there is a room for filmmakers to come forward with a different story.
This is why Aamir could well be doing a 'Dhoom 3' but when someone of his calibre also believes in 'Talaash', it is indeed saying something."
However, very recently it was difficult to believe that an actress of her calibre was actually seen in a mish-mash of affairs called 'Aiyyaa'. Though the film was panned by one and all, Rani isn't willing to disown her film though and goes on to add that 'Aiyyaa' would stay on to be a memorable experience for her.
"Audience is the final judge and whatever be the results, I liked what I was doing in the film. There was a lot of fun during songs & dances and moreover audience too appreciated what I did on screen. That's good too", she smiles.
Now here is hoping that the results are much more heartening once 'Talaash' releases all over this Friday.
