Arjun Rampal is playing a balancing role in his career rather well.
While there are out and out 'masala' commercial films like 'Housefull' and 'Ra. One' ensuring that he keeps reaching out to that segment of audience which roots for quintessentially entertaining cinema, there are also middle of the road dramas like 'Raajneeti', 'Heroine' and now 'Chakravyuh' which have kept him engaged.
From playing a politician to a super-villain to a superstar, he is now donning the cap of a cop with the Prakash Jha film which deals with the issue of Naxalism. Arjun confesses that Jha's description of the real life situation amongst Naxalites was an eye opener for him.
"Frankly, I was not much aware about the issue and this is the reason why I truly feel that this film is so important for the youth. They need to know where exactly does the heartland of India lie and what exactly is transpiring there.
Frankly, it is going to open many eyes because the film truly explores the situation that our country is in", says Arjun.
"The biggest issue is that we aren't willing to acknowledge a problem", he continues, "As long as we can do at least that, we would then be able to hunt for a key that would lead to a solution.
As of now, we need to at least zero down on what truly is the problem and 'Chakravyuh' does exactly that."
