Lakshmi Manchu, who could not stop her joy when Chinni Krishna telephoned her to tell her that she had won the Nandi Award, says that she has aims to win an Oscar.

Winning the Oscar is an actor's ultimate achievement, especially for those who value the Hollywoodian standards. Actor Kamal Hassan, for example, doesn't think that Oscar is an award Indian film makers and cine talent should aspire to for the simple reason because the Academy Awards reflect Hollywoodian ethos.

"He may have his individual opinion, but I want to win an Oscar," Lakshmi says matter-of-factly.

Though she is not an avid reader of books - in fact, she sleeps off the moment she holds a book in her hand, Lakshmi wants to pen a book comprising her experiences.
