While she is obviously brimming with confidence, more so since 'Jism 2' is retaining all the visuals that Pooja had always wanted in the first place, one waits to see critical response to the film, what with moral brigade expected to question the so-called 'bold content', courtesy Miss Leone.
"Well, the problem is not with the audience; in fact they are far more evolved than this so-called moral brigade", she says, "Going by the response so far, audience has been pretty generous so far.
I guess only those would have problems with the film who were perhaps expecting sex in the film to be cringe worthy.
Sorry, but I am not going to present my actors in a cheap manner. Sex here is going to be real and unabashed instead of titillating. I stand by each and every frame and can vouch for the fact that not even one of them is vulgar.
As a woman, I can't a take a porn-star and make her look vulgar or tacky."
With the film's paid previews being held yesterday night, audience response has already started trickling in.
Meanwhile Pooja states that regardless of the nature of this response, she would stick by the narrative she adopted for the film.
"I had to go by my sensibilities. I didn't film anything vulgar or incorporated scenes where as an actor even I would have been uncomfortable", she says, "In fact I used to ask myself a simple question - 'Would I have done the same if my director would have asked me to do that?'. So basically I went with my instincts."
She is finding herself in a happy space today. "Guess the film has worked out for all; its an eye candy for men as well as women", she smiles, "Ultimately though, the most attractive of them all is the brand."
Well Pooja, we would like to check out what the audience has to say about it now.
