Shriya Saran is expecting to make a strong comeback in Kollywood with 'Chandra', a Tamil-Kannada bilingual in which she is playing the role of a last generation princess.

According to sources, director Roopa Iyer has roped in Shriya for a meaty role and it was around Shriya's character Maharani Ammanmani Chandravathy the whole story is set.

"Shriya has done enough homework to get her act right as a princess. It is a story that shuttles between generations and Shriya's performance will be talked about," sources add.

The film has cinematography by P H K Doss and music by Gautham Srivatsava. Ganesh Venkatraman, Ramya Krishnan, Sumithra and Girish Karnad also have key roles in 'Chandra', which is being shot in India and the US.
