Director Karu Palaniappan, who proved himself as a filmmaker in 'Parthiban Kanavu' and 'Pirivom Santhippom' and as an actor in 'Mandhira Punnagai', is ready to start his next venture.

This time, he will wield the megaphone alone, as the lead roles will be played by Ameer and Rajkiran. The film has been titled 'Pandiya Vamsam' and it is an emotional story set in rural backdrop.

Says Ameer, "Karu Palaniappan is a good friend of mine and when he recently narrated the script of his next venture and asked me to be part of it, I was totally stunned. It was such a great story and I have a meaty role."

The 'Paruthiveeran' maker has even put on hold his own venture 'Jihaad', so that he could complete 'Pandiya Vamsam' first. "Jihaad can wait since I can make it anytime," says Ameer, who is gearing up to work with Karu Palaniappan.
