A land Cruiser registered under the name of Salman Khan’s brother Arbaaz Khan has crushed a 70-year-old pavement dweller to death in Mumbai last night.

The car was being driven by his brother and actor Sohail Khan's driver, Dhananjaya Pimpale. Neither of the actor's brothers were in the car. The driver had been arrested but was later released on bail for a surety of Rs. 10,000.

The police said he had confessed that he lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a turn and hit the elderly woman, Chandra Bala, who suddenly appeared in front of the car.

According to reports the police will record a statement from Arbaaz Khan regarding the incident since he is the owner of the car.. Initial investigations showed the driver to be in sober state but medical reports of blood and urine samples is awaited.

The driver has been arrested on various charges, including negligent driving and culpable homicide not amounting to murder. He will be produced in a local court today. Stay tuned for more on this..
