Where sequels have now become a fashion, the recently successful thriller ‘Kahaani’ is following the trend as well.

Buzz in the town is that the Sujoy Ghosh directorial will soon go in for its sequel. Yes, the Vidya Balan starrer is all set to churn out yet another exciting story on screen.

While news has been around that ‘Kahaani’ will be remade in Tamil, Telugu and English, the sequel is being planned for sure at the moment.

It’s said that Sujoy is already penning the new script and therefore won’t be involved in the remake processes. Apparently, it has been decided to see that the remakes don’t affect the sequel work.

Both the director and producers Viacom 18 and Jayantilal Gadha were keen on the fact and it was after confirming this, they went ahead with the process of selling remake rights.

According to sources, Vidya Balan will continue to be the leading lady of ‘Kahaani’ sequel while the story’s setting will be in completely new location, instead of Kolkata from the original.
