Iniya seems to be the favourite choice of directors who would like to make movies in rural backdrop. After Sargunam's 'Vaagai Sooda Vaa' and Bharathiraja's 'Annakodiyum Kodi Veeranum', the actress has bagged another film set in the village milieu.

Titled 'Ammavin Kaipesi', the film will mark the comeback of popular director Thangar Bachchan, who is known for emotional rural flicks such as 'Azhagi', 'Solla Marandha Kadhai' and 'Pallikoodam'.

'Ammavin Kaipesi', which revolves around the bondage between a mother and her son, will have Shanthanu Bhagyaraj as the protagonist. Interestingly, this is first time for the young actor to play a village youth.

Says Iniya, "I have a very meaty role to play in Ammavin Kaipesi. I was thrilled when Thangar Bachchan narrated the script to me. My character name is Selvi, who is waiting for her murai maman.'
