For Kalki, who comes from the world of offbeat cinema like 'Shaitan', 'Dev D' and 'That Girl In Yellow Boots' - none of which has required her to dance for the camera, especially in a filmy style - it could well be an interesting journey ahead with Ranbir Kapoor & Deepika Padukone starrer 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani'. Though the lure of commercial cinema can be expected to have made a huge difference to her decision making, Kalki is now also required to get into a learning mode as for the first time in her career; she would be wearing her dancing shoes.

"When Kalki signed the film, she was made to understand that there would be quite a few montage song sequences. However while the film's shoot is in progress, director Ayan Mukherjee now believes that there has to be a quintessential lip-synch song-n-dance number as well. While he was sure of Ranbir and Deepika being ready for it, he was also aware of Kalki's discomfort with dancing. Hence he has told her in dance to be prepared for what lies ahead", informs our source.
