'Teri Meri Kahaani' is up for release and while one can now see that it is an entertaining movie in the offering, many had earlier wondered whether it would indeed turn out to be interesting enough since in real life Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra had just broken up.

"For Shahid and Priyanka though, this was one film that was expected to be a game changer of sorts", says a source, "Since Shahid had been choosing films selectively and had nothing else decided for himself other than 'Mausam', there was no way he was willing to let go off 'Teri Meri Kahaani' due to personal reasons. Ditto for Priyanka who has seldom done romantic films in her career and had a brief role in her immediate release 'Agneepath'. She knew this was the one film which would do the trick for them."

The source continues, "Thorough professionals that they are, both were quite particular about their work and didn't want anything to go wrong with the film. They didn't allow their personal issues to spill over into the film and gave it all to make it special for them as well their director Kunal."

Concurs Kunal, "Yes, Shahid and Priyanka put their front foot forward and they have given more than 100%. Their personal life didn't matter when they were on the sets. That was good enough for me."
