'Hate Story' is a success and Paoli Dam has emerged as a new leading lady who comes sans any inhibitions. Now that the film has released, Paoli is craving for some delicacies to hog on.
She laughs, "I reduced ten kilograms in a month because my director Vivek Agnihotri wanted a particular look for me. I had to cut off from food and eat a lot of boiled stuff. Now we Bengalis are such foodies but I had to stay away from rice and fish for weeks at stretch. Now it's time to hog on and indulge in sins of other kinds."
Food was not her only problem as being in Mumbai; she had to stay away from her home in Kolkata for long.
"I have never been away from my family for so long so it was a huge struggle for me. On the other hand my stay in Mumbai was made as comfortable was possible by Vivek and Vikram (Bhatt). They kept me like a princess so now I would be expecting similar treatment for my other films as well", she smiles.
Now that her 'Hate Story' is in it's final run at theatres, Paoli is happy to confess that she was indeed scary about approaching the part of Kavya Krishnan who used her body for revenge. While a lot has already been heard, said and written about her unabashed approach towards nudity and erotica, Paoli admits that it was a very thin line to walk.
"After all, even though out there in West movies of this genre are a norm, this was a first in Bollywood when it came to an A-Grade project. One wrong move and all our right intentions would have gone for a toss. I had to keep that in mind while going ahead with all the body display in motion", says Paoli.
Guess she would have to be quite mindful in coming days as well, what with her next assignment being 'Love Games' - a film on wife swapping.
