'Vicky Donor' is a success and while Ayushmann Khuranna is earning quite a few accolades for himself, audience reaction is massive for Annu Kapoor as well who, as Dr. Chaddha, is a riot himself in the film.

Tell director Shoojit Sircar about this and he says, "There are a very few actors who can pull off a character like 'Chadha' from Daryaganj, Delhi. A character like this needs to be played quite carefully and Annu Kapoor just fits the bill."

However didn't he have actors like Om Puri, Paresh Rawal or Anupam Kher in mind?

"Yes, we did think of these actors and for that matter Pankaj Kapoor as well. They are all of course fine actors but Annu suits the role best", says Shoojit in genuine admiration of the veteran actor, "It is a clear reinvention of sorts for him and I can proudly say that we have reintroduced him with this film."
