As predicted last week, 'Housefull 2' is now placed on a very solid platform to reach the 100 crore mark. After a very good opening, this Sajid Nadiadwala production sustained very well to keep the momentum going right through the week. With just about 50% in the weekdays, the film managed to enjoy collections of over 63 crores after the end of first week, hence justifying the hype being built around it.

What has amazed though is the fact that the film has done very well in the second weekend as well with early indications being that the fall from the first to second weekend is just about 50%. This is much better than the industry standard of about 70%-75% fall that even the best of the grossers take in their second weekend. With such stability in the second week, 'Housefull 2' should now achieve the 100 crores milestone in the third weekend itself, hence allowing Akshay Kumar, Sajid Khan, Sajid Nadiadwala, John Abraham and Riteish Deshmukh - some of the prime beneficiaries from the film - into the exclusive club.

Asin is already in the 100 crore club (Ghajini, Ready) and would be enjoying her third such outing in quick time. On the other hand Shreyas Talpade, Jacqueline Fernandez, Zareen Khan and Shazahn Padamsee too have tasted big success with the film and can now see bigger and better assignments coming their way.

Most remarkable aspect of the film's success is the fact that it has been liked by the masses and classes alike, hence allowing it's sustained run across theaters. All noise surrounding Sajid Khan has died down now since it is his work which is doing the talking. Also, by making a clean film meant for families, he has now firmly placed himself in the category of directors who think of all-India audience. Meanwhile Sajid Nadiadwala can now be expected to be further buoyed with the film's super success and announce the start of his newer bunch of biggies soon.

All eyes are now on Akshay Kumar's next 'Rowdy Rathore' which should benefit immensely from the 'superhit' status of 'Housefull 2' and should prove to be further record breaking start for him as well as Prabhu Deva and Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
