When the filming of action sequences for 'Agent Vinod' began, there was a cap put on the number of cars that would be blown away. It was a mutual call between Saif Ali Khan and director Sriram Raghavan that just when the excitement in an action sequence reached its peak, there would be a full stop put on the proceedings instead of keeping it running beyond a limit lest the novelty factor came down badly.

"Due to the genre of 'Agent Vinod', there are quite a few action sequences. Many of them feature cars as well. Though just like James Bond even Agent Vinod has a license to kill, there was a conscious call taken that the film wouldn't get into the 'Fast and the Furious' zone," informs a source.

In fact there was a standing joke between the actor and the director that they had to avoid any kind of 'action porno' by all means.

Laughs Sriram, "In any action sequence, for how long can you see cars getting blow up or racing with each other? It is like porn; you can enjoy it for a while but not for an extended period of time. Just like it's a moment that matters there, same is the case with action in 'Agent Vinod' as well. It is there to tell a story instead of being a story by itself."

Point accepted Sriram.
