It’s the day and age where films are made inspired by novels. But this time around, Viacom 18‘s suspense thriller 'Kahaani' is soon to be adapted into a novel.

Advaita Kala, who has penned the script of the film, is soon planning on writing a novel on the same story line, but with a twist and is soon to see its launch at the end of this year.

Says director Sujoy Ghosh, “Advaita is penning the story. She is going to write it a bit differently and it won't be like the film. So that will be something interesting to wait and watch out for. Advaita's thought process is totally different, which is good.”

'Kahaani' tells the tale of Vidya Bagchi who arrives from London in search of her missing husband. Seven months pregnant and alone in a festive city, with nothing to rely on except fragments from her memories about him, Vidya is determined to unravel the truth about her husband – for herself and her unborn child.

Directed by Sujoy Ghosh,Viacom 18’s 'Kahaani' comes to a theatre near you 9th March 2012.
