Call it a coincidence or a well thought of strategy but somehow Kareena Kapoor isn't willing to take an overtly glamorous route for any of her films in the recent times. Post 'Kambakkth Ishq' (where she went ballistic when it came to igniting the glam quotient), she has been seen in 'Main Aurr Mrs. Khanna', 'Kurbaan', '3 Idiots', 'We Are Family', 'Golmaal 3', 'Bodyguard' and 'Ra.One'. However in each of these films, she has basically played a girl next door with an overtly glam side of her coming on display only during songs or a select few key sequences. Now add 'Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu' to the list.

"Raina and Rahul, the characters played by Kareena and Imran, are actual people that we see around us. They are urban and have a good dressing sense but don't necessarily strut around in expensive clothing," says first time director Shakun Batra, "One thing that we had decided even before we started filming 'Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu' was that there won't be any glamour in the film. We wanted to keep things real and hence you won't be seeing Kareena in a glam outing."
