A song was shot for 'Ishtam', which has Vimal and Nisha Aggarwal in the lead roles, at a place in Switzerland where world's renowned comic actor Charlie Chaplin lived. "It was a nice experience," says the film's director Prem Nizar.
"There was a statue of Charlie Chaplin in that place and we were so proud to shoot there. This is first time for Vimal to come out of nativity roles and he has given his best as an urban-modern youngster," the director says.
'Ishtam' is a remake of Telugu super hit 'Yemaindhi Ee Vela'. Claiming that he has changed the screenplay, climax and other things, Prem Nizar says, "The taste of Tamil audience is slightly different from that of those in Andhra Pradesh. But the basic crux will be the same."
Shooting for the film is over and post productions works are currently on. "Nisha Aggarwal is very observant and she learns dialogues so soon. I am happy that she is making her debut in my film," concludes Premi Nizar, who worked as an assistant director in Kamal Haasan's 'Unnaipol Oruvan'.
