Just a few days back IG had reported about the rough cut of a song from '3' that leaked on the internet and set a rage among music lovers, especially the young. The makers have now decided to release this song as a single track due to the song's popularity.

This song that goes 'Why this kolaveri di…' has colloquial lyrics in English and Tamil. The lyrics are penned by Dhanush who has also crooned this number; Anirudh is the music composer who is debuting into Tamil cinema through this film. His very first song has fetched him much popularity in the internet due to the rough cut that leaked which has become a chartbuster.

This film can be rightly called as Aishwarya and Dhanush's pet project and has ten songs, while nine of them are by penned Dhanush the other track's lyrics are by Aishwarya. Shruti Haasan and Dhanush, the lead pair, have lent their voices for a song.

Sony Music has bagged the audio rights and the single track release will take place on November 16. Dhanush, Shruti Haasan, Aishwarya Dhanush and Anirudh will be present at the audio launch which will take place at the Express Avenue mall, they will interact with fans about the film '3'. The event will be live on a popular radio station and will take place at 7 pm on November 16.
