Dismal run of films at the box office continues with neither 'Loot' nor 'Miley Naa Miley Hum' making any 'loot' at the box office. In fact theatres bore a deserted look on the opening day itself with less than 10% occupancy greeting both the films. This means that for both the films, it was a painful ride right through the weekend. While 'Loot' managed to drag and gather just about 2 crores at the box office, 'Miley Naa Miley Hum' was a total washout with not even 50 lakhs coming in.

Poor box office returns for the two films didn't come as a surprise though as none of them were generating any vibes whatsoever before their arrival. 'Loot' was a dated product and with the promotion trying to pitch this movie as a comedy when in reality it was an action thriller, the film went wrong at the marketing stage itself. Later the reviews were out and out scathing as well, hence killing whatever little interest that could possibly have been generated. With not a single name in the cast that would have managed to bring audience on it's own, writing was clear on the wall.

As for 'Miley Naa Miley Hum', there was just no push in the film's promotion even as it came close to it's release. Of course below average content of the film means that it would have anyways struggled to survive. Still, for a film to at least get noticed, especially when it bears the handicap of a newcomer hero, there has to be something interesting planned around the whole launch process. None of that happened for this Chirag Paswan debut vehicle, which despite the presence of Kangna in the cast and some good music by Sajid-Wajid, hardly managed to create any buzz whatsoever. Results, as expected, were dismal.

Other two releases of the week, 'Na Jaane Kabse..' and 'Tension Doooor', hardly arrived in a theatre or two in some major cities and went totally unnoticed. So much so that even critics didn't bother to review it.
