'Damadamm' has released and the film's leading lady Sonal Sehgal is an optimistic lot. She genuinely believes that despite her 'Damadamm' competing with not less than 'Ra. One' at the box office, audience won't quite mind giving it a dekko as well since it is a well made film. Though she understands that 'Ra. One' is all over the town, Sonal wishes to wear an audience's hat and wants to watch both films one after another.

"Really, even if I wasn't associated with 'Damadamm', I would have still wanted to watch it since the film looks so fresh", says Sonal who was first seen with Himesh Reshammiya in 'Radio', "There is this definite sincerity and honestly in 'Damadamm' which makes it look so interesting. Of course I would want to watch 'Ra. One' as well. As an audience why should I or for that matter anyone be forced to make any choice whatsoever? If these two films are releasing on the same day then it is an apt case of more the merrier. This Diwali would be special because of both 'Damadamm' and 'Ra. One'."

With promise of a 'pure entertainer' in the offering, Sonal says that everyone associated with the film has only taken a step ahead in his/her journey as a career and grown further as a professional.

"When you work in a close knit unit like this, you learn everyday from people around you," says Sonal, "I have grown for sure from my 'Radio' days while I have seen Himesh grow as well. You know what; he was completely effortless playing Sameer (the name of the character) in the film. There are some characters that come naturally to an actor and this is exactly the case here with Himesh. When we had worked together in 'Radio', it was a relatively far more serious film and dealt with complex relationships. On the other hand 'Damadamm' is far more fun oriented. No one is passing any judgement on anyone here."
