True to the many beauty pageant titles she has bagged, the Bachchan bahu, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was a beauty, clad in an orange-coloured Indian ensemble for her grand godh bharai (baby shower) which took place yesterday at their residence.

The 8 months old pregnant Aishwarya had two reasons to glow - first, for the arrival of the new Bachchan in the family and the other, was the shower of blessings she received from B-town lovelies. The Bachchan bahu was blessed by veterans like Saira Banu, Asha Parekh and Dimple Kapadia, as well as designers like Neeta Lulla and Shaina NC.

Make-up artist Mickey Contractor helped Aishwarya get ready for the special day which was attended by B-town celebrities like Urmila Matondkar, Twinkle Khanna, Sonali Bendre, Manyata Dutt, Ritu Nanda, Neetu Kapoor, Neelam Kothari, Mana Shetty, Vaibhavi Merchant, Poonam Sinha, designer duo Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla and Karan Johar, among others.

Aishwarya was gifted a gold coin by Saira Banu, wife of Bollywood thespian Dilip Kumar. Saira complimented Aishwarya by saying "She is looking like 'Chand Ka Tukda' (lovely piece of a moon)".

Needless to add to be papa Abhishek was looking elated for the occasion.
