That Mithun Chakravorty is a great cook is a known fact. However Asin got a 'taste' of that first hand only once she started interacting with him on a regular basis during the shooting of 'Housefull 2'. When the actor-hotelier cooked something as simple as a vegetable curry and got his own culinary skills in place to make it different from what the 'Ready' girl had ever eaten before, Asin couldn't help but sing praises for the veteran.
"One fine afternoon Asin had already finished her lunch and was just chatting with her other co-stars on location for 'Housefull 2' when Mithunda announced that he had a nice little surprise for them. Even as everyone was wondering what it really was, he presented them with a vegetable curry that he had just cooked. It smelled really good and even though Asin wasn't hungry any more, she couldn't resist the temptation of having some of it," informs a source who was present on the sets when the incident unfolded.
Needless to say, Asin was amazed with what Mithunda had cooked. She pronto asked him for the recipe and the veteran actor was more than happy to oblige as well. Though Asin continues to wonder she would ever be able to replicate the same taste, she adds that even though weeks have gone by, she still can't forget the delicacy.
"It was easily the most delicious curry I have ever had and the very fact that Mithunda had cooked it for us made it all the more special", smiles Asin, "It was so sweet of him to share the recipe with me. I haven't seen many doing that."
Now that the shoot of 'Housefull 2' has resumed in Mumbai, Asin is looking forward to being party to all the fun.
"Yes, it is going to be a month long schedule and I can't wait to reunite with my London gang out here in Mumbai. I am sure it is going to be 'house full' of fun all over again. And yeah, I am now going to ask Mithun da for some more delicacies," Asin makes her intentions clear before signing off.
