It was reported a few days earlier that Mohanlal is likely to play a cameo in the movie 'Veera Putran' directed by P T Kunjumuhammed. He was supposed to appear in the role of a historian named Vimal Menon in the movie, which is a bio pic on the freedom fighter Abdul Rehman Sahib. But now reports are coming up about the star losing interest in the project, as many of his previous cameos resulted in the commercial debacle of those films. The actor who had earlier agreed to give a five day call sheet for the film is now on to back out of the flick. The director who has already completed the rest of the film is planning to bring in Tamil star Sharath Kumar to do the role that was earmarked for Lal.
