'Ra Ra,' a total family entertainer which sees brother of director of AL Vijay, Udhaya, debuting as hero has confirmed its release for September 30. The film which was scrutinized recently by the censor board has bagged a clean 'U' tag from the censors. The film is a clean family film with a huge star cast. With Udhaya and Shewatha Bashu playing the leads the films sees Sathyan, Ponvannan, Meera Krishnan, Director Nandha Periyasamy and 'Mynaa' Suzan portraying strong supporting roles.
The story has a lot of comedy and deals with what happens when a family from Royapuram is connected to a family from Royapettah by marriage. It is a funny take on the attributes of the two localities in the city as well as on life after marriage. The entire film has been shot within the city. Apart from being a total family film, 'Ra Ra' also revolves around the famous Thirukkural couplets.
One of the highlights of the film is an entire song with couplets from Thirukkural as its lyrics. People closely associated with 'Ra Ra' believe audience walking out of the theatre after watching the film will at least remember a handful of Thiruvalluvar couplets.
