Reliance Entertainment and Maruti Pictures' 'Double Dhamaal' that released in 1953 screens worldwide on 24th June is continuing to impress everywhere.

The out and out comedy which grossed Rs 39.60 crores at the box office in its opening weekend making it the second highest opening for this year! Has scored in overseas too.

The Inder Kumar directed comedy starring Sanjay Dutt, Mallika Sherawat, Kangana Ranaut, Ritiesh Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Ashish Chowdhry and Javed Jaferri, got released in 250 screens across 37 countries grossing Rs. 6 crores internationally over the weekend, making it the 2nd highest release this year.

'Double Dhamaal' has grossed Rs. 34 crores in India (Rs. 25.60 crores net) and Rs. 5.6 crores gross overseas. The movie opened top 20 in North America and in top 10 in Australia & UK.

In North America, 'Double Dhamaal' opened in the top 20 films at the box office at no.19. In Australia it opened in top 10 at the box office, at 9th position. In UK it opened at 10th position at the box office garnering 4th highest per print average for the weekend. 'Double Dhamaal' is set to achieve a rare distribution feat wherein each print will recover its investment.

'Double Dhamaal' will soon see a second phase of release in non-traditional markets across 21 countries such as France, Russia, CIS States, China, Turkey, Greece, Switzerland, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Belarus Norway, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, South Osetia, Abkhazia, Estonia, Latavia and Lithuania.

Spread across a two phase release plan 'Double Dhamaal' will release in 58 countries in all making it one of the most widely distributed Hindi films overseas.
