Do you remember the Yusuf Khan from Radha Mohan’s ‘Payanam’? The paranoid and babbling youngster, in reality, is a polite and talented lawyer who has a thing for acting. He got his well-deserved breakthrough through ‘Payanam,’ and the part he performed was not easy to miss. From an insipid side artist, his role grows on to gain importance as the film progresses.

Sricharan has a role to play in the upcoming Siddharth starrer ‘180’ (Nootrenbathu). The actor recently revealed in an interview with a media house that he plays a Tamilian settled in the US, working as a radio jockey inclusive of a spiked-head, baggie pants et al. After seeing ‘Payanam’ we are quite sure Sricharan has a good timing for comedy, looks like the actor will go full blast in ‘180’ (Nootrenbathu). The actor is all praise for his director Jayendran and says he is one person who knows to tap the right amount of action required from his cast while on shoot.

Sricharan is passionate about being in front of the camera and loves to watch films that have Raghuvaran or Prakash Raj playing pivotal roles. Being a corporate lawyer in an international firm, he had to feign illness every time for getting away to Chennai to shoot for the film, say sources.

Sricharan bagged his Yusuf Khan’s role in ‘Payanam’ after requesting Radha Mohan to give him a chance. Initially the director was hesitant if Sricharan would be able to carry out Yusuf Khan’s role, but after the screen tests the doubt disappeared.

While we look forward to watch him play RJ in ‘180,’ we wonder, if his demand in films grows with time will he still be able to balance the two professions with ease? Only time will tell…
