After days of speculations and gossips, the first look of Milan Lutharia and Ekta Kapoor's forthcoming biopic project 'The Dirty Picture' is out.
Starring Vidya Balan in lead, the movie is based on the popular south oomph actress Silk Smitha and about her rise and fall in the glittering world of cinema.
Considering her 'Parineeta' days, Vidya has undergone remarkable transformation for 'The Dirty Picture'. While we have seen her charming, typical Indian beauty in most of her films, the actress has diligently worked on her image and body language. Speaking about her new avatar, the 'Ishqiya' famed actress remarked, "I have always loved my curves."
Enough has been written on the oodles of weight Vidya had to gain and how she sorted to using body pads to look plump. But the actress finds all these amusing and remarked to sources, "This film isn't about weight, it's about what sells. 'The Dirty Picture' is a 'Moulin Rouge' meets 'Himmatwala' kind of a film."
For her homework, Vidya had watched 'Sadma' featuring Silk and some of her songs. "Silk is every woman's wild side and yet she's soft where it matters," quoted Vidya.
Taking inspiration from Bette Davis, Vidya said that like her she wants to potray a new character each time. And with this she justified that she is quite excited with her role in the movie and it proved to be a challenge to play something different.
Also starring Naseruddin Shah, Emraan Hashmi and Tusshar Kapoor, 'The Dirty Picture' is slated to release on 10th November 2011.
