'You were surprised with 'Shoot Out At Lokhandwala'. Now get ready to be shocked' - This would pretty much be the essence of Sanjay Gupta's next in the 'Shoot Out' series - 'Shoot Out At Wadala' - which would be formally announced very soon. The makers are planning to take the franchise to the next level by incorporating ample shock moments that would keep the viewer wide eyed.

"Other than the fact that Sanjay and (producer) Ekta Kapoor want to take this 'shoot out' to the next level by making it bigger and better, they also want to make sure that it is not just a regular thriller that would be told. After 'Shoot Out At Lokhandwala', they understand that the core idea of merely showing a shoot out on screen has lost it's novelty as audience can't be expected to be surprised any more," informs a source from the film's writing team.

Resultantly Sanjay is now digging deeper down to add enough meat in and around the series of incidents that led to the shoot out which took place in Wadala (Mumbai). The core idea is to add elements of shock as well.

"When 'Shoot Out At Lokhandwala' released, viewers were surprised to see that a virtual battle between cops and gangsters could actually take place in a civilian area. They had read about it or seen it in movies but not in as real a manner as it was shown in our film," says Sanjay Gupta who had then produced the film with Apoorva Lakhia being in charge of the direction, "Now 'Shoot Out At Wadala' would be even more shocking."

Let's hope the promise of 'shock' really holds good when the curtains go up.
