Buzz is that Sholay, one of the biggest blockbusters of Hindi cinema, will be remade in 3D. And the men behind it are eminent filmmakers of the screen Subhash Ghai and Ketan Mehta.
According to sources, Ghai's banner Mukta Arts along with Mehta's Maya Digital has undertaken this project to turn Sholay into 3D. It is said that they have already given a test show to the producers, who are impressed with the results. And soon the makers are going to make a formal announcement about the film next month.
Released in 1975, Sholay garnered immense popularity for its dialogues, story and especially its characters. Directed by Ramesh Sippy and produced by his father GP Sippy, Sholay stars Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Hema Malini, Amjad Khan, Sanjeev Kumar, Jaya Bachchan among others.
